My maternal grandmother was Erma Ruth McCord, the granddaughter of James McCord. James married twice, first Margaret JULIAN, and after her death, Margaret's sister Climena Drusilla JULIAN; six children were born of each union. It is believed that James's father, Francis, emigrated from Ireland (or perhaps Scotland) sometime between 1784 and 1824, passing through Virginia and into Hocking County, Ohio, by 1825. James moved his family to Clinton County, Indiana in the late 1870s. A few of his children eventually moved to Tippecanoe County, Indiana.
